A Message from the Mayor

Summer is here, which means Hammond is ready for the 12th Annual Festival of the Lakes! Our 2014 event was a huge success, as over 50,000 people participated in the activities highlighting Hammond’s three lakes. This year promises to surpass last year, providing our great community another five days of summer fun.

Free live entertainment will be held nightly on the main stage, with great musical acts such as Alien Ant Farm, Hoobastank & P.O.D., The Charlie Daniels Band, BOSTON, 2 Chainz and Banda el Recodo, other fantastic opening acts.

There will also be great family events throughout the week such as the Kathleen Pucalik Memorial 5K Walk, Run and Splash on the lake, the Hot Rod & Custom Car Show, Festival Golf Outing, Fishing Derby, Special Person’s Day, Senior’s Day and a Polka Party at the Hammond Marina. We’ve also brought back the popular Carnival Mega Pass, which allows unlimited carnival rides from open until close during specific days during the Festival.

You’ll be glad you came out for this fantastic event – I hope to see you there!
